A digital notice, whether an email circular, an eHáz notification or a closed community group post, reaches the owner immediately and actively, without requiring anyone to walk past the board. This matters especially for urgent messages such as a water restriction or an unexpected lift shutdown.
At the same time paper notices are not redundant: for older, less digitally active owners they remain the primary and often only available channel. Good practice therefore uses both in parallel.
In practice this means a meeting invitation or emergency notice goes up on the stairwell board and out on digital channels at the same time, while a more detailed briefing is better delivered digitally in longer form.
One consideration: digital channels also make messages searchable later, whereas a paper notice is eventually taken down and the information is lost.
It is worth asking owners from time to time which channel they prefer: in a younger community paper notices can even be dropped, while in a building with older residents they remain the primary form.
Merbo's circular process turns every important message into both a paper notice and a digital notification, so the information reaches as many owners as possible.
